How commission members get paid and report expenses

Commission members are paid through state warrants after the governor approves their vouchers. The governor must send the legislature a report on the members' activities and expenses, plus a proposed program and budget for the state's continued participation in the education compact.

The statute, as written — Expenditures; reports

Expenditures by commission members shall be made upon warrants issued by the state comptroller based upon vouchers approved by the governor or the governor's duly authorized representative. A report of the activities and expenses of the commission members and a proposed program for the State's continuing participation in the activities of the compact for education, including a budget request, shall be submitted by the governor to the legislature.
