Keeping medical reports private

Reports given to the health department about people with environmentally-related illnesses must stay private to protect their identities. But statistical information from these reports can be shared with the public.

Reports provided to the department under this section shall not be made public to protect the identity of the persons diagnosed to be suffering from an environmentally-related illness or injury; provided that statistical information collected under this part shall be public information.
