Health director must make rules and set penalties

The state health director must create official rules to carry out this part of the law. These rules must include penalties for health care professionals or lab directors who do not follow the reporting requirements. The rules are made under the state's rulemaking process.

The director of health shall adopt rules necessary for the purposes of this part pursuant to chapter 91. The rules shall include the director's determination of the penalties to be assessed for any failure of a health care professional or laboratory director to comply with the reporting requirements established under this part.
