Setting up local health planning councils

This section creates local health planning councils for different areas of the state. The state agency, with advice from the statewide council, decides the areas. Each county gets at least one council, and these councils are managed by the state agency.

There are established, subarea health planning councils for geographical areas which shall be designated by the state agency in consultation with the statewide council. Each county shall have at least one subarea health planning council. The subarea health planning councils shall be placed within the state agency for administrative purposes.
