HRS §325-75
Doctor must report when a tuberculosis patient recovers
When a person with tuberculosis gets better, their doctor must tell the health department. The health department writes this down and then the person no longer has to follow the rules in this part of the law.
The statute, as written — Reporting recovery of patient
Upon the recovery of any person having tuberculosis, the attending physician shall make a report of this fact to the department of health or its agent, who shall record the same, and shall relieve the person from further liability to any requirement imposed by this part.
