Hospitals must set up agreements for organ and body donation

Every hospital in Hawaii must work with procurement organizations to create agreements or partnerships. These agreements coordinate how human bodies and body parts are obtained and used. This section only requires hospitals to set up these coordination arrangements.

The statute, as written — Coordination of procurement and use

Each hospital in this State, after consultation with procurement organizations, shall establish agreements or affiliations for coordination of procurement and use of human bodies and body parts.
