If one part is invalid, the rest still stands

This section says that if a court decides one part of this law is invalid for someone or in a certain situation, the other parts of the law still work normally. It only applies to the invalid part, not the whole law.

The statute, as written — Severability

Any provision of this chapter that is held invalid as to any person or circumstance shall not affect the application of any other provision of this chapter that can be given full effect without the invalid provision or application.
