Keeping records for controlled substances

People who are registered to make, distribute, prescribe, give out, or handle returns of controlled substances must keep records and inventories as required by federal law and any extra rules from the state public safety department.

[Section effective until December 31, 2023. For section effective January 1, 2024, see below.] Persons registered to manufacture, distribute, prescribe, dispense, or conduct reverse distribution with controlled substances under this chapter shall keep records and maintain inventories in conformance with the recordkeeping and inventory requirements of federal law and with any additional rules the department of public safety issues.
