Police and agencies can get dispensary records for criminal cases

This section says the state department must share records about medical cannabis dispensaries and production centers with state, federal, or county agencies that are investigating or prosecuting crimes related to those operations. It applies even if other laws would normally keep the records private.

Notwithstanding any other law, the department shall disclose information, documents, and other records regarding medical cannabis dispensaries and production centers, upon request, to any state, federal, or county agency engaged in the criminal investigation or prosecution of violations of applicable state, county, or federal laws or regulations related to the operations or activities of a medical cannabis dispensary.
