Who pays for treatment and court costs
The person who files the petition pays all court fees and costs. The person filing or the person being petitioned pays for private treatment. Publicly funded treatment is not allowed unless the court orders it for someone who qualifies and a program is available.

However, if the respondent is eligible to receive publicly funded treatment and such a program is available for the respondent, the court may order the treatment in such a program.
