Certified operator must supervise wastewater plants

Every classified wastewater treatment plant, public or private, must always be run under the direct supervision of a person whose competency the director has certified for that plant's classification. This rule applies to all such plants, regardless of ownership or who uses them.

All classified wastewater treatment plants whether publicly or privately owned, used or intended for use by the public or private persons, shall at all times be under the direct supervision of an individual whose competency is certified to by the director in a classification corresponding to the classification of the wastewater treatment plant to be supervised.
