Wastewater plant operators must be certified

This section makes it illegal to run a wastewater treatment plant or do the work of an operator unless the person is properly certified under this law. It applies to both the plant and the individual operator.

It shall be unlawful: (1) For any wastewater treatment plant to be operated unless the operator is duly certified under this chapter; (2) For any individual to perform the duties of an operator without being duly certified under this chapter.
