Lying on required documents is a crime

If you knowingly lie on any application, record, report, plan, or other document that must be filed or kept under this chapter, you commit a misdemeanor. This section makes false statements a criminal offense.

Any individual who knowingly makes any false statement, representation, or certification in any application, record, report, plan, or other document filed or required to be maintained under this chapter, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
