Prohibited acts

This section makes it illegal to run a public water system or do the work of an operator without a valid certification under this chapter. It applies to both the system itself and the individual operator.

It shall be unlawful: (1) For any public water system, or major segment of a public water system such as a water treatment plant or distribution system, to be operated unless the operator is duly certified under this chapter; and (2) For any individual to perform the duties of an operator without being duly certified under this chapter.
