Courts may give environmental cases priority

This section says that courts in Hawaii can choose to hear cases about environmental laws, rules, or permits before other cases. It gives judges the power to prioritize these cases if they think it is appropriate.

The statute, as written — Priority in courts

All actions brought pursuant to this chapter or pursuant to the rules adopted under this chapter or pursuant to the conditions of a permit issued under this chapter shall in the discretion of the court receive priority in the courts of the State.
