Priority in courts

This section says that any lawsuit filed under this environmental law (or its rules) may be given priority in Hawaii courts, but only if the judge decides to do so. It does not require priority for any case.

The statute, as written — Priority in courts

All actions brought pursuant to this chapter or pursuant to the rules adopted under this chapter shall in the discretion of the court receive priority in the courts of the State.
