Fees for noise, radiation, and indoor air permits
The state environmental director can set reasonable fees for issuing permits and variances, and for enforcing their terms. These fees cover the cost of issuing and enforcing them, but not court costs or formal enforcement actions. All collected fees go into a special state fund.

The director may establish reasonable fees for the issuance of permits and variances to cover the cost of issuance thereof and for the implementation and enforcement of the terms and conditions of permits and variances (not including court costs or other costs associated with any formal enforcement action). All fees collected pursuant to this section shall be deposited into the noise, radiation, and indoor air quality special fund established pursuant to section 342P-7.
