This law does not block other legal remedies

This section says that the rules in this chapter do not cancel or weaken any other legal rights or penalties that already exist under state law, county rules, or county ordinances. If someone has already broken another law, this chapter does not protect them from those other consequences.

The statute, as written — Other action not barred

No existing civil or criminal remedy for any wrongful action which is a violation of any statute or any rule of the department or the ordinance of any county shall be excluded or impaired by this chapter.
