Office of Solid Waste Management

The statute, as written — Office of solid waste management, establishment

There is established within the department the office of solid waste management. The head of the office shall be known as the state solid waste management coordinator. The coordinator shall be appointed by the director without regard to chapter 76 and shall be compensated at a salary level set by the director. The coordinator shall be included in any benefit program generally applicable to the officers and employees of the State. The coordinator shall hire staff, as may be necessary, with regard to chapter 76.
