Rules for paying travel costs to return home

The director must create official rules to figure out how much it costs to transport a qualified person back to their homeland and the related administrative costs. That total amount is called transportation assistance. This section only sets up the rule-making process.

The statute, as written — Transportation assistance

The director shall adopt rules under chapter 91 to determine the transportation and administrative costs which are required for the return of a qualified person to the qualified person's homeland. The amount of such costs shall be considered the transportation assistance.
