Psychologists can provide services without another doctor's referral

This section says that when the state's health care or rehab services are the kind a licensed psychologist can provide, the department cannot make the person get a referral, direction, or prescription from another health care provider first.

When the health care or rehabilitative services authorized under this chapter are services which a psychologist is licensed to render under chapter 465, the department shall not require referral, direction, or prescription of services by another health care practitioner.
