Commission's rulemaking power

This section gives the commission the power to make, change, or remove its own rules for how applications are filed and how cases are handled. The rules must not conflict with this chapter. The commission can also make rules on other topics it thinks are appropriate.

The statute, as written — Rulemaking powers

In the performance of its functions, the commission may adopt, amend, and repeal rules and regulations, not inconsistent with this chapter, prescribing the procedures to be followed in the filing of applications and the proceedings under this chapter and such other matters as the commission deems appropriate.
