Where committed persons' money is kept and tracked
Money collected for people committed under this chapter must be put into a bank trust or insured savings account in their name. The director or their agent must keep a separate ledger for each person and give them a statement showing deposits and withdrawals.

All sums collected pursuant to sections 352 - 16 and 352 - 17, and from other authorized sources shall be placed in a bank trust account or federally insured savings account to the credit of persons committed pursuant to this chapter. The director or director's agent shall maintain individual ledger accounts for each committed person and shall issue each person a periodic statement showing deposits and withdrawals.
