Administration of federal programs

This section lets the housing authority run federal housing programs it is assigned. It must make rules under state law, including setting and collecting reasonable fees. Fees can go into a special fund to pay the authority's administrative costs.

The statute, as written — Administration of federal programs

(a) The authority may carry out federal programs designated to be carried out by a public housing agency, or entity designated by the authority. (b) The authority shall adopt necessary rules in accordance with chapter 91, including the establishment and collection of reasonable fees for administering the program, to carry out any federal program in subsection (a). (c) All fees collected for administering the program may be deposited into an appropriate special fund of the authority and may be used to cover the administrative expenses of the authority.
