How the housing authority handles public works contracts
This section lets the housing authority make contracts for public housing projects. It must follow the state's procurement rules. Each contract must say it is made for the State unless it is already in the State's name.

The statute, as written — Public works contracts
The authority may make, execute, and carry out contracts for, or in connection with, any public housing project in the manner provided in chapter 103D and section 103-53; and, with regard to the contracts, the term "procurement officer", as used in chapter 103D, shall mean the authority or officer authorized by the authority to act as its contracting officer. Unless made and executed in the name of the State, each contract made and executed as authorized in this section shall state therein that it is so made and executed.
