Who counts as a tenant in state housing

This section defines two key terms for the housing rules. A state low-income housing project is one owned or run by the housing authority. A tenant is anyone living in such a project under a lease, license, or permit from the authority.

As used in this subpart, unless a different meaning clearly appears from the context: "State low-income housing project" means any state low-income housing project or projects owned, managed, administered, or operated by the authority. "Tenant" includes any person occupying a room, dwelling unit, living quarters, or space in any state low-income housing project, under or by virtue of any tenancy lease, license, or permit under or from the authority.
