Old contracts stay valid under new rules

This section says that the rules in two other sections do not change or weaken any contract that was already in place on or before May 9, 1949. Those older contracts keep their original terms.

Sections 356D-52 and 356D-53 shall not be construed as to impair or affect the obligation of any contract existing on or before May 9, 1949.
