How to appeal a final court decision

If you lose a case in circuit court under this part, you can ask a higher court to review the decision. You must follow the court rules for appeals. This section only covers the right to appeal, not the details of the process.

The statute, as written — Appeals

An aggrieved party may secure a review of any final judgment of the circuit court under this part by appeal to the appellate courts, subject to chapter 602. The appeal shall be taken in the manner provided in the rules of court.
