This section explains that when the law says 'this chapter,' it also includes other parts of the law that were changed by a specific 1939 law, unless the situation clearly says otherwise. It is a technical rule about how to read the law.

Whenever in this chapter reference is made to "this chapter", the term, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise, includes also any other chapter or section of the Revised Statutes amended by Act 237 of the Session Laws of Hawaii 1939, and any other provisions of the Act.
