HRS §383-169

Extended benefits follow regular benefit rules

This section says that the same rules for regular unemployment benefits also apply to extended benefits, unless those rules conflict with the extended benefits part. The director's regulations decide how this works. It is a short procedural rule.

The statute, as written — Effect of state law provisions relating to regular benefits on claims for, and the payment of, extended benefits

Except when the result would be inconsistent with the other provisions of this part, as provided in the regulations of the director, the provisions of this chapter which apply to claims for, or the payment of, regular benefits shall apply to claims for, and the payment of, extended benefits.
