Public notice when extended benefits start or end

When the state's unemployment extended benefits are set to start or stop, the director must tell the public. This section only requires that announcement. It does not set any other rules.

The statute, as written — Beginning and termination of extended benefit period

Whenever an extended benefit period is to become effective in this State as a result of a state "on" indicator, or an extended benefit period is to be terminated in this State as a result of a state "off" indicator, the director shall make an appropriate public announcement.
