Your personal account details in this program are kept confidential. They can only be shared when needed to run the program or follow tax laws, or if you give written permission. This section protects your privacy.

The statute, as written — Confidentiality of participant and account information

Individual account information relating to accounts under the program and relating to individual participants, including but not limited to names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, personal identification information, investments, contributions, and earnings, is confidential and shall be maintained as confidential: (1) Except to the extent necessary to administer the program in a manner consistent with this chapter, the tax laws of the State, and the Internal Revenue Code; or (2) Unless the participant who provides the information or is the subject of the information expressly agrees in writing to the disclosure of the information.
