Who enforces this law and hires staff

The director is in charge of carrying out and enforcing this law, unless another part of the law says otherwise. The director can hire the assistants and office staff needed to do this job, following state civil service rules.

Except as otherwise provided in section 393-7 the director shall administer and enforce this chapter. The director may appoint such assistants and such clerical, stenographic, and other help as may be necessary for the proper administration and enforcement of this chapter subject to any civil service act relating to state employees.
