Settling before the department decides

This section says that after a complaint is filed but before the department decides whether a violation occurred, the people involved can agree to settle the complaint. It does not set any rules for how the settlement works.

At any time after the filing of a complaint, but prior to a determination by the department that this chapter has been violated, the parties may agree to resolve the complaint through a predetermination settlement.
