Administration of family leave law

This section says who runs the family leave law. The director is in charge of enforcing it, and the department helps employers find temporary workers to cover for employees on family leave. The director can hire staff to carry out the law.

The statute, as written — Administration

(a) The director shall have jurisdiction over those prohibited acts made unlawful by this chapter. (b) The department shall assist employers in the placement of temporary help to perform the work of those employees on family leave. (c) The director also may hire, subject to chapter 76, investigators, hearings officers, clerical, stenographic, and other staff as may be necessary to administer and enforce this chapter.
