HRS §412:10-304

How you can take money out of your account

This section says the credit union's board sets the rules for how you can withdraw money from your share or deposit account, including paying you or someone else. The credit union can also require you to give notice before withdrawing, if its bylaws say so.

The statute, as written — Withdrawals

(a) Funds in share and deposit accounts may be withdrawn for payment to the account holder or third parties in such manner and in accordance with such procedures as are established by the board of directors. (b) Share and deposit accounts shall be subject to any withdrawal notice requirement which is imposed pursuant to the bylaws.
