Using other agencies' exam results
The state banking commissioner can use exam results from another state or federal agency instead of doing a separate exam. This applies when the other exam covers the same time period or topic. It saves time and avoids duplicate testing.

The statute, as written — Use of state or federal examinations
The commissioner may accept, adopt, or use in lieu of an examination prescribed by section 412:11-102 or otherwise, all or any part of the results of an examination conducted by an appropriate state or federal regulatory agency of a financial institution or a financial institution holding company for the same period or subject matter that would be covered by an examination required or permitted under this article.
