HRS §412:12-106
No state deposit limit; federal limits can be waived
Read the official text at capitol.hawaii.gov ↗Hawaii does not set its own cap on bank deposits. The state banking commissioner can waive federal deposit limits for individual banks, as long as out-of-state banks are treated fairly. The waiver must help financial services, Hawaii banks, or the public. Federal and state antitrust laws still apply.
