Criminal Penalty for Willfully Breaking Banking Laws

If someone connected to a financial institution or anyone else deliberately breaks a rule in this chapter that doesn't already have its own penalty, they commit a misdemeanor. The punishment follows the state's general criminal sentencing rules.

Any institution-affiliated party or any other person who wilfully violates any of the provisions of this chapter for which a penalty or administrative fine is not expressly provided in this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor punishable pursuant to sections 706-663 and 706-640.
