How members can be admitted and what they pay

A corporation can decide whether members pay to join or join for free, unless its own rules say otherwise. The board of directors sets the amount or terms if payment is required.

Except as provided in its articles or bylaws, a corporation may admit members for no consideration or for such consideration as is determined by the board.
