HRS §425-156
Registering a foreign limited liability partnership in Hawaii
Before a foreign limited liability partnership can do business in Hawaii, it must register with the state, file a statement of foreign qualification, and provide a recent certificate of good standing from its home state. The certificate must be dated within 60 days of filing, and if it's in another language, a sworn translation is needed. Hawaii cannot refuse registration just because the partnership's home laws differ from Hawaii's.
