Keeping a registered agent in Hawaii

Every domestic or foreign partnership must always have a registered agent in Hawaii. The agent must have a business address in the state and can be a resident individual or a business entity allowed to operate here.

Each domestic partnership or foreign partnership shall continuously maintain in this State a registered agent, who shall have a business address in this State and may be: (1) An individual who resides in this State; (2) A domestic entity authorized to transact business or conduct affairs in this State; or (3) A foreign entity authorized to transact business or conduct affairs in this State.
