Policy conflicting with this part

This section says that even if an insurance policy breaks the rules in this part, the policy is still valid. But if the policy conflicts with this part, the law in this part wins over the policy. It applies to insurers, insured people, and beneficiaries.

The statute, as written — Policy conflicting with this part

A policy delivered or issued for delivery to any person in this State in violation of this part shall be held valid, but shall be construed as provided in this part. When any provision in a policy governed by this part is in conflict with any specific provision of this part, the rights, duties, and obligations of the insurer, the insured, and the beneficiary shall be governed by the provisions of this part.
