Who can sell extended health insurance

This section says that a person with a license to sell accident and health or sickness insurance can also sell extended health insurance. They can earn commissions based on schedules filed with the insurance commissioner. It overrides other rules in article 9A.

The statute, as written — Persons authorized to transact insurance

Notwithstanding the provisions of article 9A, any person licensed to transact accident and health or sickness insurance as a producer may transact extended health insurance and may be paid a commission in accordance with commission schedules filed with the commissioner as required by section 431:10A-406.
