Rules

This section lets the insurance commissioner make rules to spell out specific unfair practices banned by other laws, but only within those laws' limits. It does not create new rules or penalties itself.

The commissioner may adopt reasonable rules in accordance with chapter 91, as are necessary or proper to identify specific methods of competition or acts or practices which are prohibited by section 431:13-103 or 431:13-104, but the rules shall not enlarge upon or extend the provisions of section 431:13-103 or 431:13-104.
