When official notices to insurers take effect

This section says when the insurance commissioner's notices to an insurer become official. If sent by registered or certified mail, the notice is effective as soon as it is mailed. For any other delivery method, it is effective when the insurer actually receives it.

The statute, as written — Notices

All notices by the commissioner to an insurer which may result in regulatory action hereunder shall be effective upon dispatch if transmitted by registered or certified mail or, in the case of any other transmission, shall be effective upon the insurer's receipt of the notice.
