How disputes between states are resolved

When a member asks, the commission will try to settle disagreements that fall under this compact, whether between member states or between member and non-member states. The commission must also create a written process for handling these disputes.

The statute, as written — Dispute resolution

The commission, upon the request of a member, shall attempt to resolve any disputes or other issues that are subject to this compact and that may arise between two or more compacting states, or between compacting states and noncompacting states, and shall adopt an operating procedure providing for resolution of such disputes.
