Rules for opposing director election solicitations

This section says that the rules in this part apply when someone or a group tries to convince stockholders to vote against another person or group's request to elect or remove directors at a stockholder meeting.

The statute, as written — Election contests; applicability

This part shall apply to any solicitation by any person or group for the purpose of opposing a solicitation by any person or group with respect to the election or removal of directors at any annual or special meeting of stockholders.
