HRS §431:7-311

Insurance deposits cannot be taken by creditors

This law protects money that an insurance company has deposited with the state. A creditor or other person who is owed money by the insurer cannot take or seize that deposit. The deposit stays safe from such claims.

No judgment creditor or other claimant of an insurer shall levy upon any deposit held pursuant to this article or upon any part hereof.
