Course providers must report completion and keep records

This section tells continuing education course providers what they must do after a course or exam. They must send completion information to the insurance division within 15 days, using the required electronic format. They also must keep records showing who attended and passed, as required by another law.

The statute, as written — Reporting credit hours and recordkeeping

Continuing education course providers shall: (1) Submit course completion information as prescribed by the commissioner to the insurance division within fifteen days after the course is completed or the competency examination is scored. The information shall be transmitted in an electronic form in the format prescribed by the commissioner; and (2) Maintain adequate records to verify the attendance and successful course completion pursuant to section 431:9A-125(b).
